Mission
The Friends of the Scotts Valley Branch Library (FSVBL) chapter was established in the summer of 2009.
We’re a group of supporters concentrating on a variety of volunteer services, fundraising, and advocacy for the Scotts Valley Branch Library (SVBL) and its programs.
We raise funds (e.g. by organizing used book sales and hosting special events) that are used to enhance several library programs and help make them widely accessible to patrons.
FSVBL volunteers provide support for a variety of Library programs (e.g. game night, maker’s lab), and organize special events such as author talks, open mic nights, and the Art in the Library program.
We collaborate with Scotts Valley community organizations and Library staff to increase awareness of the library and its many programs.
