“Summer Slide” is a term describing the learning loss encountered by children who don’t read over the summer. To counteract this slide, Santa Cruz Public Libraries sponsor special reading programs every summer. Kids, teens, and adults can sign up, track their reading, complete activities, and earn prizes.
